Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will:

  • Understand the importance of laying down a foundation for cognitive behavioral therapy.
  • Understand the differences of irrational and rational thinking and how to use this in therapy.
  • Gain knowledge about rational-emotive imagery and its uses in the therapy setting.
  • Gain understanding of rational self-analysis and be able to use this to help clients in therapy.
  • Understand self-defeating beliefs and irrational triggers and how to help clients overcome these barriers.
